Lage:
The cottage is located amidst the hiking region, at the sunny Lungau, at the Mur-valley, about 1.5 hours from the source of the Mur river away. The quiet location is perfect for families, next to the cottage are 2 alpine huts, apart from that it is a very secluded location.
Entfernungen:
Next town Muhr in 12.5km, Sticklerhütte (cottage) in 1.5km, the town Sankt Michael in 24.5km. Rotgüldensee (lake) in 8km. The cottage is just perfectly located for hiking and biking. Here Austrias second longest river meanders through the high valley until the 1,989m high located source of the Mur river, where crystal-clear spring water bubbles out of the mountain. You can climb up to the Murtörl (alpine pass) or - for experienced climbers - you can also climb up to the Schmalzscharte (2,444m) - this path runs through rocky terrain. Starting at the cottage you can go on a tour around the Schöderhorn and even into the Großarltal (valley). The Mur cycle path starts at the source of the Mur. This downhill track leads through woods and runs past mountain lakes. It is about 14,5km long and ends at the town Muhr. The way back you can also take the bus! The Sticklerhütte (hut) which is farmed in summer, also has an e-bike charging station - so if you have an e-bike, just take it with you!

The cottage was established in 2016 and has on the ground floor: big snuggery with seating corner, sofa bed, chimney for cooking and heating, dining table and kitchenette with sink. 1 shower, 1 toilet. Upper floor: 2 bed rooms with each 1 double bed and 1 single bed. At the anteroom is a sofa, which can be extended for 2 additional persons, if needed. Heating with wood stove, warm water with boiler, solar electricity. Basement: cool cellar for food, fridge. In front of the cottage seating possibility, barbecue. We ask you to do not smoke inside the cabin.
Nebenkosten:
Local tourism tax currently 1,10/person/night, sewer/waist 2,15/person/night, final cleaning 55,-, pet 35,-. Bed linen can be rented for 10,-/set and towels for 5,-/set.
