Apartment near Basanija beach

The apartment is located in Bašanija, a small fishing village just 6 km from Umag. The location is excellent due to its proximity to the town center and the beach. The area of Bašanija rich in pine trees and Mediterranean vegetation, with a clear sea, uncontaminated nature, tranquility, a variety of types of beaches and for the characteristic of the air has been known since the Austro-Hungarian era . The area is also known for the air you breathe in this area, with an ideal concentration of vegetal and marine aerosols, the climate of Bašanija - Savudrija is able to stimulate and promote physical well-being and the treatment of problems of the respiratory tract.


The house is surrounded by greenery in a quiet and sunny position. Ideal accommodation for families with children or couples of friends.



The apartment is located on the ground floor of a family house with two other apartments, one near the ground floor which is rented and one on the first floor where the friendly owners live.


The apartment consists of two bedrooms with double bed, bedside tables, night lamps, wardrobe and mirror, bed linen is provided (changed weekly), eat-in kitchen equipped with microwave, oven, stove with 3 gas burners and an electric hob, extractor hood, coffee machine, kettle, fridge with freezer area, dining corner with dining table and 4 chairs, bathroom with bathtub, bidet, toilet, mirror and sink, external window, towels for two bathrooms per person are provided (changed weekly). The house offers free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV, air conditioning. The covered terrace, private at the entrance, furnished with dining table and benches. A terrace equipped with table, chairs and portable barbecue is available for shared use. In front of the apartment is the magnificent vegetable garden where the kind owner grows vegetables which she kindly offers to customers.


The furnishings are not modern but cleanliness and hospitality are guaranteed. The house offers simple services but you will find everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. The advantages of the house are the location, the cleanliness, the tranquility and the very courteous owner who offers you fresh vegetables from her garden.



*Pets (max. 1) are welcome up to 10 kg on request with a supplement per day to be paid in cash upon arrival.


* Smoking is allowed on the terrace or outside, while smoking is not allowed inside

* We ask our kind guests:

 - to respect neighbors and behave calmly and discreetly, especially at night or during afternoon rest,

- for safety reasons, to turn off the air conditioning or the washing machine when they are not in the accommodation,

- to use the accommodation equipment with caution,

- to leave empty containers and to wash used cutlery and kitchen utensils,

- to declare to the owner any damage caused, which after a careful assessment of the damage, the owner will request payment of the costs in cash before departure,

- to indicate the expected departure time one day before departure to agree on the collection of the keys.

The pebble beach is 600 m away, the center of Bašanija is 200 m away. In the center of Bašanija you will find restaurants with excellent fresh fish menus, the post office, two bars, the bank, ATM, bakery, greengrocer, a small supermarket, hairdresser.



Nearby is the tourist village Savudrija where you will find tennis courts, mini golf, water sports and other entertainment.

The Adriatic Golf Club golf course with 18 holes is 5 km away, horse riding is 4 km away, cycle paths nearby, the port of Savudrija is 3 km away.


The center of Umag only 6 km away.


In the center of Umag we recommend visiting the museum, the aquarium, the cathedral, a walk along the famous Umag Dam, exploring the narrow and interesting alleys of the historic center of Umag, the new square embellished with a fountain, shopping in the shops in the center or visit the stalls and the playground on the seafront for the joy of children.

To purchase a larger quantity of food, we recommend traveling a few kilometers by car to the largest and most convenient supermarkets such as Lidl, Spar, Kaufland or Plodine in Umag.

There are various leisure opportunities in the Umag area: tennis courts, the 18-hole Adriatic Golf Club, equestrian centres, sports centers for water sports enthusiasts where it is possible to practice water skiing, diving, boat rental, adrenaline park for children and mini golf course in Jangalooz near the Sol Stella Maris tourist village, night clubs, casino, possibility of various boat or coach trips.

The area is full of renowned restaurants, simple restaurants, pizzerias, fast food outlets, bars. Those who want to explore Istria will discover caves, ruins, numerous churches, museums and impressive marinas.

For non-beach days or evenings we recommend taking unforgettable trips inland. The picturesque artists' village Grožnjan has a splendid terrace from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Mirna river valley. Motovun is a typical medieval town located on a hill, known for its film festival, which has taken place at the end of July for years. Livade, the town known for the white truffle found in the nearby woods. For lovers of astronomy and wish to admire the sky and the stars, visit by appointment the Astronomical Center in Višnjan, 30 km from Umag. For cave enthusiasts, visit the small wonderful Baredine cave just 15 km from Umag. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Hum, the smallest city in the world just 60 km from Umag. Also interesting are the cities on the coast such as Pula, Rovinj and Poreč, as well as the Brijuni national park which can also be visited on organized trips. Various "Fish picnic" boat trips are organized there, with fish or meat picnics during which you will have the opportunity to visit Rovinj and Poreč or Novigrad. Many tourists are interested in the wonderful day trip to Venice by hydrofoil. To the delight of children, visit the Istralandia water park 20 km from Umag and the Funtana theme park "Dino park", where fun is guaranteed and makes the hearts of adults and children beat faster. For gourmets, there are several options for tastings of excellent Istrian wines, cheeses, olive oil, typical Istrian ham and much more.
